Shawn Johnson took the world by storm with her strong results in the 2007 Pan American games and 2007 World Championships, then capping it off with a gold and 3 silvers at the 2008 Beijing Olympics.
Not only is she recognized as one of the best female gymnasts in the world, she has also become a widely popular celebrity winning the 8th season of "Dancing with the Stars," appearing on numerous television shows, and being recognized as "America's Most-Liked Sports Figure" in 2009 by a study commissioned by Forbes magazine.
She has announced that she will try to make the 2012 Olympic team.
