Qualifying for the 2012 Olympic Games
[]

How does one qualify to compete in the 2012 Olympic Games?

First and foremost, an individual needs to be very skilled and capable of competing at an international level in a sport that is part of the London Games (see List of Sports). Beyond that, there is not a single answer.

Each sport has it's own qualifying rules and regulations which in most cases involves competing in a designated Olympic Trial event prior to the games. The competition at each sport's Olympic Trials is fierce and will make or break an athlete's dream of competing in London.
